Back in the day, I would walk around during the spring with no shirt as motivation ...it wouldn't take me long to get my ass in gear ....this of course was back in my younger days when walking around shirtless up at the playground , playing soccer or basketball wasn't a big deal...its a little different when you're in your 30's ...

What kind of mental motivation do you use to fire up the engine...or to stay motivated???

Fitness is a never ending life battle...no in between, you're either getting better or getting worse..

I get usually get modivated when it's dark out. I don't know why but working out during day time doesen't do it for me. Also when i see dudes that are cut and have a 6 pack i just want to get to the gym and start working out. When you start seeing results the gym is like a drug.. you just want more and more.

Interesting ...I am motivated more during the sunshine ... I couldn't handle life without the sun, something about the sun that brings out the fire in me....

working out is great because its one of those things that you don't dread and its something you can basically do everyday.

FEMALES is my main motivation to work out but if your already stuck with one I don't think it would really work

One thing I tell people who say they "can't get motivated":

Always bring your gym clothes/shoes w/ you to work. DO NOT go home after work. Go straight to the gym (or track, basketball court, whatever you do). If you go home you'll start reading your mail, watch the news, check your emails, etc... Basically, if you go home you will find an excuse or talk yourself out of going back to the gym. If you have your clothes/shoes w/ you you are more inclined to stop and "get it over with". It's always worked for me.....
